Keys are what make your character tick. When you demonstrably act according to one of your Keys, you can gain 1 XP or replenish a pool die. A character typically starts the game with 4 Keys, and can gain new ones by spending Advances. Each Key has a Buyoff; if the Buyoff conditions are met, you lose the Key and gain two Advances.
